Ila, une jeune femme délaissée par son mari, se met en quatre pour tenter de le reconquérir en lui préparant un savoureux déjeuner. Elle confie ensuite sa lunchbox au gigantesque service de livraison qui dessert toutes les entreprises de Bombay. Le soir, Ila attend de son mari des compliments qui ne viennent pas. En réalité, la Lunchbox a été remise accidentellement à Saajan, un homme solitaire, proche de la retraite. Comprenant qu'une erreur de livraison s'est produite, Ila glisse alors dans la lunchbox un petit mot, dans l'espoir de percer le mystère.

Ila, a young woman abandoned by her husband, goes out of her way to try to win him back by preparing him a tasty lunch. She then entrusts her lunchbox to the gigantic delivery service which serves all businesses in Bombay. In the evening, Ila expects compliments from her husband which do not come. In reality, the Lunchbox was accidentally given to Saajan, a lonely man, close to retirement. Realizing that a delivery error has occurred, Ila then slips a little note into the lunchbox, in the hope of unraveling the mystery.
